The children have been learning all about instructions.  We haven't started writing them yet, but we have read and followed instructions (to make our Polar Bears!), and reassembled cut up instructions.  The children have learnt some of the features of instructions, such as bossy words and numbered steps, and plan on using them later this week to write their own instructions for making jam sandwiches.
