On Thursday 20th November we visited the World of Beatrix Potter at Bowness-on-Windermere where we met Mrs Heelis (Beatrix Potter) she told us about growing up in Victorian times about her favourite pets and what she loved about the Lake District.  She was enchanting.  After she rushed off to catch the steam train, we looked around the exhibition for interesting characters to include in our newspaper reports.  We even got a look round Mr McGregor's garden.  Most people's favourite character was Peter Rabbit.
