WW2 Day- The Beacon 5/11/15

We visited the Beacon museum as part of our WW2 topic. We spent the morning doing a workshop where we learned about many different aspects of the war such as: the black out, wardens, gas masks, evacuation, toys and propaganda posters. We looked at a range of WW2 artifacts like different gas masks and children's toys. In the afternoon, we had time to explore the Beacon and Alan took us on a historical tour of Whitehaven Harbor. We learned lots of new facts about WW2, which will come in useful in our topic work and we had lots of fun!
