Shape poetry and calligrams is our new focus in literacy. We looked at some examples of shape poetry on the smart board and had a go at guessing what they were about before we read the words. Mrs McEwan told us to have a go at writing our own short shape poems on our whiteboards. Then we moved around the class asking people to guess what our poems were about. We then had to guess what they had written their poem about. We got lots of guesses correct and we're looking forward to writing some shape poems to put on the wall.
