RNCM Engage
Today, we had a visit from the Royal Northern College of Music. Their Engage initiative aims to inspire and enhance children’s musical education, in the hope that some of them can see a future career in music. We had a school assembly where a quintet played songs from popular films and video games. Year 5 and Year 6 then took part in a workshop where they got the chance to play some brass instruments and learn about rhythm and dynamics. The RNCM are passionate about young people’s musical opportunities and the programme allows children to explore, experience and enjoy music. What a lot of fun!
