We carried out an investigation to find out if taller people really do have bigger hands. As a class we planned how to carry out, measure and record the data then made some predictions about the outcome. We measured the length of our hand span in cm using a ruler, then worked together as a team to measure our height using metre sticks. Once we had recorded our results, we presented the data using a line graph. Overall, our line graph showed that taller people do not necessarily have the biggest hand span as we discovered many children's hand spans were equal in length - despite being different heights!
