We were very lucky to be visited by an award-winning author! Stuart Reid has written many fabulous books; we are reading his first book 'Gorgeous George and the Geriatric Generator' is class. 

Stuart talked to us in assembly about his books and introduced us to the main characters. He was incredibly funny and even had Miss Blakeley us acting like an elephant! 

Stuart then spent the next hour working with us. He told us about how he decides upon the ideas for his books and how he makes them so enjoyable. 

Stuart really inspired us; we are now planning to enter the BBC 500 words competition to showcase our writing skills.
